Chasca on iZombie!
Tuesday, May 30 - Chasca's song "So Long, Crassus" appeared in the "Twenty Sided, Die" episode of iZombie, the Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) series airing on The CW on Tuesdays 9/8c.
Hard-edged, glammed-out alternative rock with a healthy dose of Rocky Horror dramatics and devil-horned power chords! We are CHASCA. We are the ones your parents warned you about.
Chasca is a five-piece rock band based in San Marcos, Texas who emerged from The Bubble Studio in Austin, Texas, in late 2014 having put the finishing touches on the follow-up to their debut EP ‘Bedtime For Bedlamites.' ‘Barbarians' was released in June 2015.
The new record reunites the band with mad scientist and uber producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith at 'The Bubble.' Frenchie is best known for his work with bands like The Darkness, Jet, Built To Spill, Meat Puppets, and his tenure in his bands 16 Deluxe and Young Heart Attack.
Music bloggers Ovrld perhaps describe this unusual band best:
“Chasca’s theatrics are not just merely entertaining, but they’re integrated brilliantly into the music instead of overshadowing it. Despite merely opening for an elite roster, CHASCA easily stole the show and was all anyone talked about at the end of the night.”
Chasca is: JT Martin (lead vocals, flute), Sean Hannon (guitars), Junior Scott (bass, vocals), Brittany Paris (keyboards, vocals) and Wiley Koepp (drums); Chasca also visually dazzles via the makeup artistry of Nix Nova.
“The glammy San Marcos quintet brought a Mohawk crowd to its knees”
